Position Summary His Glory is seeking a highly organized, hands-on Production Operations Manager to serve as the operational leader of our broadcast and production studio. This individual will act as the right hand to the General Manager / Chief Broadcasting Officer (CBO), ensuring the day-to-day execution of all studio operations, live broadcasts, recorded programming, production schedules, and team coordination. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of live television and digital broadcasting environments, including VMix and studio production workflows. Because we are a lean and fast-moving organization, this role requires someone who is equally comfortable leading a team, solving operational challenges, and stepping behind the switcher or into production roles when needed. Key Responsibilities Production Operations Leadership - Oversee the daily operations of the production studio and broadcast environment.
- Ensure all live and recorded productions are executed professionally, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Serve as the primary operational point person for production staff, producers, directors, and technical crew.
- Assist the CBO with department planning, execution, staffing, and workflow management.
- Maintain production calendars, studio schedules, and resource allocation.
Broadcast & Technical Management - Possess working knowledge of VMix and live production workflows.
- Monitor broadcast quality across television, web, mobile, and OTT platforms.
- Troubleshoot production and technical issues as they arise.
- Coordinate with third-party technology vendors and support partners when necessary.
- Help establish and maintain production standards, procedures, and best practices.
Team Leadership & Development - Provide daily direction and accountability to production team members.
- Assist in training and developing producers, operators, and technical staff.
- Foster a culture of excellence, urgency, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure production deliverables meet established quality standards.
Project & Content Execution - Coordinate production resources for shows, interviews, special broadcasts, events, and remote productions.
- Work closely with programming, marketing, guest relations, and leadership teams to ensure production readiness.
- Track project progress and ensure deadlines are met.
- Help prioritize department workload to maximize efficiency and output.
Hands-On Production Support - Operate or assist with VMix, switching, graphics, audio, streaming, and other production functions as needed.
- Step into production roles during staffing shortages, high-volume periods, or special events.
- Support setup, testing, and execution of live broadcasts and studio productions.
Qualifications - 3+ years of experience in broadcast, television, live streaming, or production operations.
- Working knowledge of VMix and live production environments.
- Strong understanding of studio workflows, production scheduling, and broadcast operations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-driven organization.
- Willingness to be hands-on and perform operational tasks alongside the team.
